Since the HAMAS terrorist attack against Israel on October 7, 2023, and the ensuing war in Gaza, EU member states have seen an unprecedented rise in reported antisemitic incidents. Assaults on Jews, vandalization of synagogues, and defacement of Holocaust-related sites and memorials have increased exponentially in recent months. CEP’s distinguished guests will address the security situation for Jews in the EU in the wake of October 7, which saw the most Jewish death in a single day since the Holocaust. In the biggest attack on Jewish life in a single day since the Holocaust, 1,200 were killed, and 251 were taken hostage into Gaza—where 101 remain.
