On December 6, 2018, a suicide car bomb exploded near a police post in the Iranian port city of Chabahar, killing four officers and wounding 48 other people. Ansar al-Furqan, an al-Qaeda-linked Baloch insurgent group, claimed responsibility.

On December 4, 2018, a gunman shot and killed a man sitting in his car waiting for his son outside of a primary school in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The gunman, who fled on foot, was suspected of having ties to dissident republicans.   

On December 1, 2017, Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) gunmen attacked the Agricultural Training Institute in Peshawar, killing nine people––including six students––and wounding 37 others.  

On November 28, 2020, Boko Haram militants attacked farmers as they worked in the rice fields of Koshebe near the northeast Nigerian city of Maiduguri. Abubakar Shekau confirmed his faction was responsible for the massacre of 110 civilians.   

On November 23, 2018, three militants carried out a gun and hand grenade assault on the Chinese consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, killing two policemen and two Pakistani civilians. The separatist group Balochistan Liberation Army claimed responsibility.  

On November 18, 2018, Boko Haram militants overran an army base in Metele in northeastern Nigeria. The assailants killed at least 100 Nigerian soldiers and looted significant military materiel.
