Counter Extremism Project Appoints Dr. Nicolas Stockhammer as Non-Resident Fellow

(New York, N.Y.) — The Counter Extremism Project (CEP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Nicolas Stockhammer as a Non-Resident Fellow, strengthening the organization’s reach to its partners in Austria as well as its analytical capabilities on radicalization, counterterrorism strategy, and geopolitical extremist trends. Dr. Stockhammer brings decades of research expertise in extremist networks, digital propaganda, and violence prevention to CEP’s global policy and advocacy efforts.

Dr. Stockhammer is a political scientist and scholar whose work has focused on European counterterrorism strategy, youth radicalization, and the intersection of technology and extremist recruitment. He is currently the Head of the Research Cluster Counter-Terrorism, CVE and Intelligence at the Department of Security Studies, Danube University Krems (Austria), where he leads a multi-thematic research portfolio and international cooperation projects
