On February 21, 2019, Taliban fighters carried out a suicide vehicle and gun attack on a military checkpoint in Maidan Shar, Afghanistan. An Afghan defense ministry official said that 126 security personnel had died and 70 were injured.

On February 17, 2016, an explosion targeted a military convoy near the Turkish army headquarters and several government buildings in Ankara, killing 30 people and injuring 61. A breakaway faction of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) claimed responsibility for the attack.

On February 10, 2018, Jaish-e-Mohammed jihadists attacked an Indian Army camp housing personnel and their families in Sunjuwan, Jammu, killing 10 people and injuring more than 20 others. The militants clashed with special forces for over 24 hours before they were neutralized.

On February 9, 2020, Boko Haram gunmen opened fire on civilians, killing at least 30 people in the town of Auno in Nigeria's Borno State. The militants left vehicles burned, shops and homes looted, and abducted several women and children.
