On October 30, 2019, several mortar rounds landed inside the United Nations and African Union compounds in Mogadishu, Somalia, injuring seven people. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.

Police blamed the Revolutionary Proletarian Army, a splinter group of the New People’s Army, amid conflicts over land reform in the Philippines.
