On October 7, 2019, a bomb placed inside a rickshaw exploded, hitting a shuttle of Afghan security forces recruits in the eastern city of Jalalabad. At least 10 people were killed and 27 were injured, recruits and civilians, including a child, were among the casualties. No group claimed responsibility, but ISIS carried out similar suicide bombings in the city.
