On March 20, 2017, white supremacist James Harris Jackson stabbed African-American man Timothy Caughman to death with a sword. Jackson authored a manifesto that advocated a “racial world war” and extermination of black people.

On March 18, 2018, Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants exploded a bomb in a four-floor building in Afrin, northwestern Syria. Syrian rebels had been conducting a search there. At least 13 people died and 25 others were wounded.

On March 16, 2016, two female Boko Haram suicide bombers detonated their explosives during morning prayers at a mosque in Maiduguri, Nigeria. The attack killed 22 worshippers and injured 18 others.

On March 15, 2019, Brenton Tarrant opened fire on Muslim worshipers attending Friday Prayer at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, killing 51 people and injuring 49 others. Tarrant livestreamed the attack on Facebook Live.

On March 11, 2017, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) claimed responsibility for two suicide bombings in Damascus that killed 74 people and injured over 100 others.
