The U.S. military announced another deadly strike against a vessel that it alleges was involved in "narco-trafficking" efforts. "On April 19, at the direction of #SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations," U.S. Southern Command indicated in a post on X.
JTA: Trump’s antisemitism envoy says US will bar World Cup attendees tied to antisemitism abroad
Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun, the U.S. special envoy for monitoring and combating antisemitism, said this week that the United States will bar individuals from attending the World Cup who are accused of fostering antisemitism in their home countries.
Michigan Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers said his Democratic opponent, Abdul El-Sayed, has "no business" running for public office after seeing a video of him discussing the importance of having empathy for terrorists. El-Sayed, a medical doctor and former Wayne County health director, is running in the Democratic primary for Michigan's open Senate seat in the 2026 midterms. A French appeals court ruled on Wednesday that a nanny from Algeria who was convicted of poisoning the Jewish family she worked for was not motivated by antisemitism. The decision by the Versailles Court of Appeal comes months after the nanny, identified as Leïla Y., 42, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison by the Nanterre criminal court in December for attempting to poison the Jewish family she worked for with cleaning supplies.

In a joint statement, the Mossad and Shin Bet intelligence agencies said a plan by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to attack the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline through Georgia to Turkey several weeks ago had been thwarted.

Reuters: Russia says it detains a German woman with a bomb in her rucksack
Russia's Federal Security Service said on Monday that it had detained a 57-year-old German woman with a bomb in her rucksack as part of what it cast as a false-flag operation directed by Ukrainian intelligence. Unverified footage showed a woman lying on the tarmac in a car park while armed men pointed their weapons at her - and a rucksack beside her. Sappers were shown blowing up the rucksack.

Afghanistan International: Majority Of Taliban Cabinet Under International Sanctions
A US-based research institute says it has compiled data on more than 1,200 Taliban leaders, finding that only about 5.7% are under international sanctions. The Middle East Institute said it has collected, verified and mapped information on over 1,200 Taliban leaders and officials. According to its findings, 67 individuals are currently subject to international sanctions.

At least 55 mid- and senior-level Taliban figures have direct or indirect ties to Al Qaeda, according to a new report by the Middle East Institute, raising renewed questions about the Taliban’s relations with transnational militant networks. The report, updated in April, draws on a database of 1,213 Taliban members and officials mapped through the institute’s “Taliban Leadership Tracker.” It identifies approximately 55 individuals — drawn from the Taliban’s broader rank-and-file as well as mid- and senior-level leadership — with links to Al Qaeda.
