(New York, NY) – Counter Extremism Project (CEP) CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace released the following statement on the murders of Israeli embassy staff, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. last night:
The Counter Extremism Project (CEP) condemns in the strongest possible terms the abhorrent terror attack in the U.S. capital, killing two Israeli embassy staff, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim. We mourn Yaron and Sarah, a young and soon-to-be engaged couple ready to start their lives together, and we are outraged by the barbarity that ended their lives.
It is with profound regret we acknowledge that even today one can be murdered for the “crime” of being Jewish, Israeli—or even a non-Jewish supporter of the Jewish people—while attending an event in the heart of our nation’s capital.
We extend our deepest condolences to the loved ones of Yaron and Sarah.
