Tech Times: Rogue Hacking Group Has Taken Down Tens Of Thousands Of Twitter Accounts Supporting Islamic State
Tens of thousands of Twitter accounts that support ISIS (now called the Islamic State) went down thanks to a rogue hacker organization called the Ghost Security Group. "I do think the majority of the reporting is being done by groups like Anonymous and Ghost Security. But there are other initiatives, including the Counter Extremism Project and the Sawab Center, which are contributing to reporting efforts," J.M. Berger, an expert on the Islamic State at Brookings Institution, said.
The Counter Extremism Project Presents
Enduring Music: Compositions from the Holocaust
Marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Counter Extremism Project's ARCHER at House 88 presents a landmark concert of music composed in ghettos and death camps, performed in defiance of resurgent antisemitism. Curated with world renowned composer, conductor, and musicologist Francesco Lotoro, the program restores classical, folk, and popular works, many written on scraps of paper or recalled from memory, to public consciousness. Featuring world and U.S. premieres from Lotoro's archive, this concert honors a repertoire that endured against unimaginable evil.
