Sinclair Broadcasting: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube explain what they're doing to stop terrorism
Other experts warned that despite the social media companies claiming they can identify and remove extremist content within hours of it being posted, they are still not moving fast enough. According to the non-profit Counter Extremism Projects, Google has yet to take down a bomb-making manual that was used in a thwarted terror attack in the U.K. As of Tuesday, the YouTube page of extremist Abu Haleema was still accessible. Haleema has suspected ties to one of the terrorists in the June 2017 London Bridge attack and was previously arrested for attempting to travel to Syria to join an extremist group, the Counter Extremism Project reported.
The Counter Extremism Project Presents
Enduring Music: Compositions from the Holocaust
Marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Counter Extremism Project's ARCHER at House 88 presents a landmark concert of music composed in ghettos and death camps, performed in defiance of resurgent antisemitism. Curated with world renowned composer, conductor, and musicologist Francesco Lotoro, the program restores classical, folk, and popular works, many written on scraps of paper or recalled from memory, to public consciousness. Featuring world and U.S. premieres from Lotoro's archive, this concert honors a repertoire that endured against unimaginable evil.
