Politico: Ray Kelly's New Role
"The former New York city police commissioner is joining the advisory board of the Counter Extremism Project, a not-for-profit, nonpartisan organization formed to combat the growing threat from extremist ideology, a spokesman told POLITICO New York. "In order to stop extremism, all stakeholders, including law enforcement, elected leaders, the private sector and NGO's, must work together to develop effective solutions," Kelly said in a statement. "The Counter Extremism Project has been at the forefront of this significant effort and I am proud to lend my support to the organization.”
The Counter Extremism Project Presents
Enduring Music: Compositions from the Holocaust
Marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Counter Extremism Project's ARCHER at House 88 presents a landmark concert of music composed in ghettos and death camps, performed in defiance of resurgent antisemitism. Curated with world renowned composer, conductor, and musicologist Francesco Lotoro, the program restores classical, folk, and popular works, many written on scraps of paper or recalled from memory, to public consciousness. Featuring world and U.S. premieres from Lotoro's archive, this concert honors a repertoire that endured against unimaginable evil.
