On July 1, 2016, ISIS gunmen attacked a restaurant frequented by foreigners in the wealthy Gulshan Thana area of Bangladesh’s capital, Dhaka. The assailants killed at least 22 civilians and two police officers, and injured 50. 

On June 28, 2019, two suicide bombers detonated their explosives at a Philippine army counterterrorism camp in Jolo, Sulu, leaving six people dead. ISIS claimed responsibility, though local officials blamed Abu Sayyaf Group. 

On June 25, 3016, al-Shabaab conducted an attack on the Naso-Hablod hotel in Mogadishu, killing at least 15 people and injuring 25. A suicide bomber detonated a car bomb outside of the hotel, frequented by tourists and politicians, and gunmen stormed the establishment and took hostages before they were killed by police. 

On June 23, 2017, two back-to-back explosions hit a market in Parachinar, a predominately Shiite-populated town in Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas. At least 72 people were killed and more than 200 others were injured. There was no immediate claim of responsibility. 

On June 19, 2019, a Houthi-launched projectile struck a power-transformer station near a desalination plant in Saudi Arabia. 

On June 20, 2020, 25-year-old Libyan national Khairi Saadallah killed three people in a mass stabbing at Forbury Gardens, in the historic English market town of Reading. Several others were wounded in what was investigated as a terrorist attack.
