On May 30, 2019, a suicide bomber targeted the Marshal Fahim National Defense University in Kabul. At least six people were killed and another six were wounded. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack stating its fighters attacked “trainees in the Afghan army.”

On May 27, 2018, Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamaah (ASWJ) militants carried out an attack in Monjane, Cabo Delgado in northern Mozambique. The assailants beheaded over 10 villagers.
America is a bleeding carcass, bereft of the moral foundations which made it powerful. The America of modernity is little more than an economic zone in which the dollar is used. A unified culture no longer exists due to replacement migration. Ethical standards no longer exist due to the steady erosion of the history of the American nation.

On May 24, 2017, Somalia-based al-Shabaab fighters carried out two separate roadside bombings in eastern Kenya, killing nine Kenyan police officers.

On May 22, 2022, unidentified jihadists killed at least 11 people in two villages in Burkina Faso’s Seno province. Another 14 went missing and were later found dead following the raids.

On May 18, 2021, ISWAP fighters surrounded Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau in Nigeria’s Borno state. Shekau reportedly detonated a bomb to evade capture by his group’s rivals. ISWAP confirmed his death on June 7.

On May 16, 2018, a group of ISIS-linked men rammed their vehicle into the Riau Regional Police headquarters in Pekanbaru, Indonesia. The assailants were armed with swords and hacked several people at the station before they were shot dead. One police officer was killed, and two police officers and two journalists were injured.

Curated with world renowned composer, conductor, and musicologist Francesco Lotoro, the program restores classical, folk, and popular works, many written on scraps of paper or recalled from memory, to public consciousness. Featuring world and U.S. premieres from Lotoro's archive, this concert honors a repertoire that endured against unimaginable evil.
