On January 29, 2016, a 12-year-old boy, believed to be sent by Boko Haram, detonated a suicide bomb in a market in Gombe, Nigeria. The attack killed at least 11 people.

On January 27, 2018, a Taliban suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden ambulance in central Kabul, near several Afghan government offices. The attack killed at least 103 people and wounded 235 others.

On January 23, 2019, two car bombs exploded outside of a mosque in Benghazi, Libya, killing 41 people and injuring 80 others. No group claimed responsibility for the blast, but remnants suggested an ISIS affiliate was responsible.

On December 19, 2016, Anis Amri, a Tunisian asylum seeker, rammed a truck through a crowded outdoor Christmas market in Berlin, Germany. Amri was reportedly directed by ISIS to carry out the attack, which killed 12 people and injured 56.

On December 18, 2016, a suicide bombing killed 52 Yemeni soldiers and injured 63 others at a military base in the city of Aden. The ISIS affiliate, Islamic State-Yemen Province, claimed responsibility for the attack.
