“This is the first time in history that a bully is telling everybody else, important countries, that ‘I’m going to punish you if you observe something that I do not like. Let us assume that a bully is standing in a cross section on the street and telling everybody, ‘If you don’t pass the red light, I’m going to beat you.’ This is exactly what the U.S. is telling them. This is economic terrorism, pure and simple.”“Iran unwilling to negotiate with U.S. over nuclear deal: Zarif,” Kyodo News, May 17, 2019, https://english.kyodonews.net/news/2019/05/ae7b5378ef45-urgent-iran-unwilling-to-negotiate-with-us-over-nuclear-deal-zarif.html.

Marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Counter Extremism Project's ARCHER at House 88 presents a landmark concert of music composed in ghettos and death camps, performed in defiance of resurgent antisemitism. Curated with world renowned composer, conductor, and musicologist Francesco Lotoro, the program restores classical, folk, and popular works, many written on scraps of paper or recalled from memory, to public consciousness. Featuring world and U.S. premieres from Lotoro's archive, this concert honors a repertoire that endured against unimaginable evil.
