"What is the difference between what Netanyahu, [Israeli Defense Minister Moshe] Yaalon, and [Israel Defense Forces chief of staff Benny] Gantz are doing—killing thousands of civilians, children, women, entire neighborhoods, targeting mosques, destroying hospitals and [United Nations Relief and Works Agency] schools—what's the difference between that and what the Nazis did in the 1930s and '40s? And what Hitler did. This is the real holocaust.”Michael Isikoff, “In Personal Plea, Top Hamas Leader Calls on Obama to Stop ‘Holocaust’ in Gaza,” Yahoo News, August 25, 2014, http://news.yahoo.com/in-personal-plea--top-hamas-leader-calls-on-obama-to-stop--holocaust--in-gaza-180315615.html.

The Counter Extremism Project Presents
Enduring Music: Compositions from the Holocaust
Location:
Eisenhower Theater
Tuesday January 27, 2026 7:30p.m.
Marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Counter Extremism Project's ARCHER at House 88 presents a landmark concert of music composed in ghettos and death camps, performed in defiance of resurgent antisemitism. Curated with world renowned composer, conductor, and musicologist Francesco Lotoro, the program restores classical, folk, and popular works, many written on scraps of paper or recalled from memory, to public consciousness. Featuring world and U.S. premieres from Lotoro's archive, this concert honors a repertoire that endured against unimaginable evil.
