Main points (Pro-ISIS Online Chatter) 

Afghanistan 

  • Taliban Supreme Leader Hibatullah Akhundzada criticized the leaders of Muslim countries who sought friendship with Israel despite at least one previous instance of a senior Taliban leader allegedly seeking to establish secret relations with the country.
  • Taliban soldiers fought with ISIS-K in Kabul’s 15th district. Pro-ISIS posts did not identify the militants as affiliated with ISIS. Still, they noted that the two individuals killed had “resisted arrest” and were killed, preventing the Taliban from collecting and sharing intelligence they might have obtained from the two fighters.
  • The chief of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) noted an increase in terrorist activity in Afghanistan, as well as the threat of terrorist groups from Afghanistan. 

The Taliban deputy spokesperson, Hamdullah Fitrat, disagreed with this assessment. 

  • There was an unidentified explosion in Bamyan.
  • There was an explosion at a Taliban military facility in Aino Mina, Kandahar, which included an arms depot. 

Pakistan 

  • The alleged leader of a “death squad” affiliated with the Pakistani intelligence services was killed in an attack, along with several of his sons and other relatives, in the Zamoran district of Balochistan.
  • Four soldiers were killed and three were injured in an attack using explosives on a Pakistani army patrol in Mastung.
  • Sunni tribes fought with the Pakistani Taliban (Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, or TTP) in Kurram. One Pakistani Taliban member was captured, and several were injured.

  • “Four apostate Taliban militia members were killed in a bombing targeting Caliphate soldiers in Nangarhar [sic].” 

“This week, Caliphate soldiers in Khorasan Province killed four members of the apostate Taliban militia [who] were killed in an explosion on their vehicle in Nangarhar, eastern Afghanistan.” 

  • “Four killed from the Taliban militia.” 

“In the details, by the grace of God Almighty, it was revealed that the soldiers of the Caliphate on Thursday (9 Dhul Al-Hujjah) detonated an explosive device on a vehicle of the apostate Taliban militia in the Dara-e-Noor area of Nangarhar, destroying it and killing four members, thanks be to God. Local media outlets published photos of the four dead Taliban members.”

  • June 7: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that the leader of an alleged death squad affiliated with Pakistani intelligence was killed, along with several of his sons and family members, in an attack on their vehicle in Gar-e-Bun, Balochistan. 

“Urgent. An explosive device exploded targeting a vehicle carrying Amin Zamurani, a leader of the Pakistani intelligence service’s death squad, killing him instantly along with several of his sons and relatives in Gar-e-Bun, in the Zamoran district of Balochistan.” 

 

  • June 7: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that in his Eid al-Adha message, Hibatullah Akhundzada noted that some Muslim countries “still seek Israel’s friendship . . . despite what is happening to the people of Gaza.” Text and image below from a news article noted that an unidentified “senior

Text: “A senior Taliban official is seeking to establish ‘secret relations’ with Israel, according to Israeli media reports. Israeli media reports have revealed that the Afghan Taliban is reconsidering its position on Israel.” 

“Entertainment. The leader of the Afghan Taliban, who celebrated Eid al-Adha today: ‘Some Muslims still seek Israel’s friendship and are eager to be loyal to it, despite what is happening to the people of Gaza.’”

  • June 9: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram claiming that there was an unidentified explosion in Kabul. 

“Urgent. An explosion was heard in the Afghan capital of Kabul.” 

 

  • June 9: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram noting that sounds of weapons fire were reported in Kabul’s 15th district.  

“Urgent. Sounds of armed clashes were heard in Kabul’s 15th district.” 

 

  • June 9: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that the Taliban are fighting with “militants” in the vicinity of Kabul International Airport. Taliban soldiers raided an alleged ISIS hideout in the 15th security district and seized weapons and ammunition. See https://www.afintl.com/en/202506115718. 

“Update. Local sources say the Taliban are clashing with militants near Kabul International Airport.” 

 

 

  • June 9: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram regarding the gun battle in Kabul, stating that “two militants resisted arrest” and were killed. The post noted that “the Taliban failed in their mission to capture them and extract information from them to provide to [former U.S. envoy to Afghanistan] Zalmay Khalilzad.” See https://amu.tv/179495/.

  • June 11: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that General Michael Kurilla, the commander of U.S. Central Command, praised the Taliban and the government of Pakistan for fighting ISIS-K. See https://www.dawn.com/news/1916651. 

“Follow-ups. U.S. Central Command Commander Gorilla [Kurilla] commends the Taliban’s efforts in fighting terrorists and commends the Pakistani government’s efforts in its war against terrorists.” 

 

  • June 11: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that the chief of Russia’s FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, noted that there has been a local increase in terrorist activity in Afghanistan, as well as a global increase in terrorist activity coming from the country. “Statement. Head of the Russian Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov: ‘There is a significant increase in terrorist activity within Afghanistan, and their activity is increasing globally.’”

  • June 11: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that the Taliban deputy spokesperson, Hamdullah Fitrat, disagreed with FSB head Bortnikov that the internal and external threat from ISIS-K was increasing. 

Text: “The Taliban’s deputy spokesman, Hamdullah Fitrat, rejected the statements of the head of the FSB that ISIS has expanded its activities in Afghanistan. Fitrat said that such concerns are unfounded and that Taliban forces have thwarted ISIS activities.” 

“Update. The Taliban rejects statements by Russian FSB chief Alexander Bortnikov, saying Afghanistan is a country free of terrorism.” 

 

 

  • June 11: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that there was an unidentified explosion in Bamyan. 

“Urgent. An explosive device detonated in the Afghan province of Bamyan, causing casualties, according to the initial toll.” 

 

  • June 11: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram claiming that there was an explosion at a Taliban facility in Aino Mina, Kandahar. The post noted that the Taliban base included a weapons depot and that “internal explosions” were reportedly heard. 

“Urgent: A large explosion rocked a Taliban security site, [which had an] ammunition and weapons depot and a guard post, near a Baloch cemetery in the Aino Mina area of Kandahar, resulting in deaths, injuries, and internal explosions at the depot.” 

 

  • June 12: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram claiming that a Pakistani army patrol was attacked with explosives in Mastung, Balochistan and that four soldiers were killed and three were injured. 

“Urgent: An explosive device exploded targeting a Pakistani army patrol in the Mastung area of 

Balochistan, killing four soldiers and seriously wounding three others.” 

 

  • June 12: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram claiming that Sunni tribes fought with the TTP in Kurram district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The post claimed that a TTP member was arrested and several others were wounded. 

“Follow-ups. Local sources: Violent armed clashes between Sunni tribes and the Pakistani Taliban in Kurram, resulting in the arrest of a Tehrik-e-Taliban member, the injury of others, and the escape of the rest.” 

 

3. ISIS Amaq/Nashir Statements 

•            There were no Amaq/Nashir claims of responsibility for Afghanistan between June 7 and 13. 

 

4. ISIS-K Linked Al-Azaim Web Magazine Voice of Khorasan Issue 46, Released on June 13, 2025 

Article 1: The Weakened Muslim Communities: The Khalifah is the Only Solution 

  • The article condemns Muslim-majority countries that do not fight on behalf of coreligionists in other parts of the world.
    • The article condemns states with large militaries, such as Turkey, Egypt, and Pakistan, as well as the wealthy Arab Gulf states.
    • The article condemns many of these governments for being allied with the West.
  • This fighting and lack of unity is due to a focus on the material world.
  • Following the October 7, 2023, attacks, people protested the Israeli attack on Gaza in many parts of the world—including Kuala Lumpur, Dhaka, Karachi, Jakarta, and Istanbul—but Muslim governments only offered “vague statements and a ‘call for restraint.’”
  • The article accuses the government of Saudi Arabia of being especially guilty due to their pursuit of “normalization talks with Israel while Palestinians are expelled from their own land and homes.”
  • The United Arab Emirates and Jordan are similarly condemned.
  • The article describes charitable acts by ordinary people in less wealthy countries, such as Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Turkey,
  • Powerful Muslim-majority countries are tied into the global economic system and are reliant on Western powers.
    • The article describes these states as being ruled by greed rather than morality.
  • The article concludes with a call to action. 

 

Article 2: On the Destruction of Tyrants and Corrupt Scholars 

  • The article condemns those who are allegedly following the wrong religious path, embrace concepts of leniency, grieve over the deaths of Shiites, or are “puppet Jihadis.”
  • The death of “corrupt scholars” should be celebrated, not mourned.
  • The article celebrates the killing of Hamid al-Haq Haqqani, “a spiritual mentor of the Taliban,” in a suicide bombing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, on February 28, 2025.
  • The article also celebrates the killing of Munir Shakir, the founder of Lashkar-e-Islam in Pakistan, in March 2025. 

 

Article 3: Light of Darkness 7 

  • Every person should understand artificial intelligence (AI).
  • AI is used daily on mobile devices, such as in autocorrect and voice-assisted typing.
  • AI is used in algorithms that promote content.
  • AI is also used to summarize documents, create Zoom transcripts, etc.
  • Battlefield applications of AI:
    • The use of AI by drones utilized by the U.S., China, and Israel. AI-enabled surveillance such as facial recognition and “gait analysis.”
  • AI can be used to replace various jobs currently done by people.
  • Do not overshare when speaking with chatbots, as they may not be private.
  • It is essential to learn about AI to protect oneself against scams, surveillance, and the leaking of sensitive information.
  • It is important to avoid exploitative technologies, protect others from misinformation, and speak truthfully.
    • The article suggests always using AI with care, being cautious regarding exposed data, and avoiding overreliance on AI.
  • Information should be verified before it is shared.
  • Chatbots are being used as digital advisers, research assistants, and tools to assist in decision-making.
    • It is necessary to know who created the chatbot, where your data is going, and whether these platforms protect your identity and faith.
  • The magazine offered a comparison between ChatGPT GPT-4, Bing AI, Brave, Leo, and DeepSeek.

  • OpenAI has experienced issues with leaks of conversations with ChatGPT.
  • Microsoft’s Bing AI has been used by the Israel Defense Forces for applications such as battlefield analysis, drone coordination, and surveillance.
  • DeepSeek has leaked information such as user’s IP addresses, keystrokes, and session data.
  • AI can be used to mimic specific speech patterns online, which can be used to inflame tensions.
  • AI can also be used to fabricate religious rulings or create mistranslated sections of the Quran.
  • The article concludes that Brave Leo is the best chatbot for “sensitive, anonymous, or ethical research.” 

 

Article 4: Declaration of Disavowal from the Pakistani Taghut and Its Proxy Militias 

  • The article claims that the Pakistani military has supported “local armed movements,” including the Taliban, for the past 30 years as part of a plot to gain support from the U.S. and Britain.
    • One of the goals of Pakistani support for the Taliban or terrorist groups fighting India was allegedly to divert people towards these groups.
  • The article accuses Pakistan of being subservient to the British and secularists, and being ruled by the Pakistani military and intelligence services.
  • Pakistani support for terrorist groups was a strategy to gain Western funding to then defeat those terrorist groups.
  • Support for groups fighting in Afghanistan and Kashmir would mean that those same groups would not fight within Pakistan itself.
  • The article specifically condemned former Taliban leader Akhtar Mansoor, “a drug and hashish smuggler, who had recently been crowned by the Pakistani military” with the goal of opening relations with the West, stopping the growth of ISIS in the region, and opening an office in Qatar. 

 

Article 5: Crooked Paths and Lost Destinations 

  • You cannot claim to be performing religiously mandated fighting but also endorse democratic principles, tribalism, or nationalism.
  • You must show enmity and hatred towards nonbelievers and polytheists.
  • Legitimate fighting cannot be contained within internationally recognized borders.
  • You must fight on behalf of others no matter where they are in the world.
  • The proper response to the bombing of civilians is the use of force.
  • The Taliban endorses Deobandism, Sufism, and grave worship.
    • Taliban leaders engage in warm relations with some nonbelieving countries while fighting others.
  • The Taliban have accepted international law in hopes of benefitting from it themselves.
  • Taliban leaders have claimed that ISIS fighters are foreigners and have no local support.
    • These same leaders have ignored the fact that Taliban soldiers have joined ISIS, such as Abdul Rauf Khadim and Saad Emarati.
  • The U.S. and the Taliban both saw ISIS-K as a major threat. This is why the U.S. decided to give the Taliban control of Afghanistan. The Taliban use Islamic slogans but do not follow Islamic principles. 

 

Article 6: Leaving the Blacklist of the Kuffar and Entering the Blacklist of Islam 

  • The article is about Russia removing the Taliban from their list of terrorist organizations.
  • The article claims that nonbelievers never have goodwill towards Muslims.
  • The removal of the Taliban from the list of Russian terrorist organizations is proof that the former have abandoned the correct religious path.
  • Russia has not been honest about the specific reasons why the Taliban have been removed from the list.
  • The Taliban tried to fool the world into thinking they followed the correct religious path.
    • Once they came into power, they endorsed nationalism and human-made borders and human-made laws, condemned the creation of a global caliphate, and fought against those seeking to implement the true religion.
  • The U.S. government simultaneously had bounties on senior Taliban leaders while sending them aid money.
  • Russia and other countries have accepted the Taliban because:
    • The Taliban have agreed to stay within the borders of Afghanistan.
    • The Taliban have suspended religiously mandated fighting outside of their borders. The Taliban fight against groups who fight to institute religious law.
    • The Taliban have signed contracts with foreign firms, allowing them to exploit mineral resources.
  • Support for the Taliban is heretical. 

 

Article 7: The Ruling on the Soldiers of the Taghut by the Honorable Mujahid Shaykh Abu Abdullah Al Mansur (May Allah Accept Him) 

  • An article on religious rulings for declaring enemy soldiers nonbelievers.
  • If soldiers do not follow the dictates of religious law, do not endorse religiously mandated fighting, or force Jews and Muslims to pay taxes, they are nonbelievers.
  • Enemy soldiers are nonbelievers if they protect nonbelievers, protect tyrants, fight against religion, or assist nonbelievers.
