Afghanistan

Pakistan
- Eight Pakistani soldiers were killed, 11 were wounded, and three were missing after attacks on three posts in Panjgur District.
- Unidentified gunmen murdered a police officer in Azam Warsak, South Waziristan.
- Unidentified militants murdered a Pakistani Frontier Corps soldier in Balochistan.
- Unidentified individuals shot at the convoy of the deputy commissioner of South Upper Waziristan, wounding two bodyguards.
- The Pakistani military claimed to have killed 33 Pakistani Taliban members crossing into the country from Afghanistan.
- Unidentified gunmen murdered a member of the Pakistani security forces and his wife in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

- August 2: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram claiming that unidentified gunmen murdered “a Taliban security member” in Taloqan. The deceased was allegedly “a close associate of a Taliban leader.”
“Urgent. Gunmen assassinate a Taliban security member in the Taloqan area, the capital of Takhar
Province. The victim was identified as Khadidad Rahimi, a close associate of a Taliban leader.”
- August 2: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that unidentified militants attacked three Pakistani security posts in Panjgur District, killing at least eight soldiers, injuring 11, and possibly capturing three. The post noted that trucks were used in the attack. Please note that the photo used in the post below is from an attack in 2022. “Urgent. Three Pakistani security posts in the Gwargo area of Panjgur District, Balochistan Province, were violently attacked by militants.
“Local sources reported that at least eight Pakistani soldiers were killed, 11 others were wounded, and three others remain missing in the attack.
“The militants, who are said to number more than 80, carried out the attack using 11 Zamyad-type vehicles [Zamyad is an Iranian vehicle manufacturer that mainly produces pickup trucks].
“They first destroyed the posts’ communications equipment and then ambushed the rapid response force.”
- August 2: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram claiming that the police chief of Azam Warsak, South Waziristan, was killed by unidentified gunmen. - August 3: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that unidentified militants attacked a Pakistani police station in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, using a drone carrying a mortar shell. “Urgent. A drone attack targeted a Pakistani police station in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, wounding two officers. The drone was carrying a mortar shell and dropped it on the station. This is the second attack in four days.”

“Follow-ups. Indian newspapers: The Indian government has strengthened its cooperation with the Afghan Taliban government, particularly in the fight against terrorism in Kashmir.”

- August 4: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram claiming that further improved relations between Russia and the Taliban are contingent on the fight against ISIS-K.
Text: “While some Russian officials insist on supporting the Taliban, including ‘arming’ them, it remains to be seen how far Moscow is willing to go and whether the joint fight against ISKP [Islamic State Khorasan Province] will yield tangible results.”
“Follow-ups. Russian newspapers: The development of relations between Russia and the Taliban depends on the results of their war on terrorism in Afghanistan.”

“Follow-ups. In a shocking and deplorable American report on the Taliban’s efforts, America still views Afghanistan as a safe haven for global terrorism, despite the Taliban’s significant efforts in combating terrorism to please ‘Uncle Sam.’”
- August 5: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that unidentified militants murdered a Pakistani Frontier Corps soldier in Balochistan.
“Urgent. Militants kill a Pakistani Frontier Corps soldier in Balochistan.”

- August 5: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram accusing the Taliban of copying the “worn out” language of the West when describing ISIS.
Text: “ISIS emerged as a brutal phenomenon stemming from extremist ideologies that contradict humanity and religion. Since its inception, the organization has demonstrated unwavering determination, sparing no effort to achieve its destructive and deliberate goals.”
“Observers. At first glance, the reader might think that this statement comes from a Western center, a European government, or perhaps an organization specializing in gay rights. However, in reality, this statement comes from an official website affiliated with the religious leaders of the Afghan Taliban movement.
“Yes, my dear, humanity, brutality, and extremism—these terms, so worn out in the West, have become the Taliban’s national movement’s livelihood.”

- August 6: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that unidentified individuals shot at the deputy commissioner of South Upper Waziristan’s convoy, wounding two bodyguards. See https://www.dawn.com/news/1929116.
“Follow-ups. The convoy of the deputy commissioner of South [Upper] Waziristan, Asmatullah [Wazir], was attacked while heading from Tank to the district headquarters in Habib Kot, wounding two of his bodyguards.”
August 7: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram claiming that the Taliban closed a radio station after newscasters read a recent report from the UN secretary general on air. See
“Entertainment. The Taliban shut down a radio station after it read the latest UN Security Council report, which was broadcast by Al-Sakhra 30 TV [a pro-ISIS Telegram channel] a few days ago.”
- August 8: Pro-ISIS post on RocketChat alleging that the Taliban leader at Balkh University was arrested for adultery.

- August 8: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that the Pakistani Army claimed to have killed 33 Pakistani Taliban members crossing from Afghanistan, while the Baluchi opposition has claimed that the military killed civilians, not combatants. See https://www.afintl.com/en/202508081512.
“Follow-ups. Pakistani Army: We killed 33 Pakistani Taliban members as they infiltrated from Afghanistan. Baluchi opposition websites: The Pakistani Army killed 33 civilians.”
- August 8: Pro-ISIS post on Telegram stating that unidentified gunmen murdered a member of the Pakistani security forces in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Reports indicate that the individual was a member of the Frontier Corps and that his wife was also killed in the attack. See https://x.com/khorasandiary/status/1953872181219434912.

4. Al-Azaim Media Infographic, Posted on RocketChat on August 8, 2025
Summary: Fazal-ur-Rehman supported the U.S. after meeting with then–U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson in 2014. Rehman supported airstrikes in Pakistan that killed women and children, destroyed madrassas, mosques, and homes. Text alleges that Rehman received money in exchange for this support.
