Excerpt from an essay entitled, “Being confident that anti-Zionism is NOT Anti-Semitism”:

“The anti-Zionism=anti-Semitism argument is a political tool. Mostly it is to silence criticism of ‘Israel’, such as in the case of Ilhan Omar. In the case of Jeremy Corbyn it is also a political tool to undermine him and his party in the rat-race of Westminster politics.

“However, it is the legitimacy of the occupation that it most serves to protect. ‘Israel’ is, in the words of the former British diplomat Ronald Storrs, a ‘Jewish Ulster’ in the Middle East - meaning it is a colonial satellite for the west in the Middle East to ensure it maintains control - a springboard to maintain its policy of division and weakness in the region. Indeed, Zionists used this argument, that they would be a colonial tool, in order to win support for their project.”Abdul Wahid, Facebook post, March 12, 2021, https://www.facebook.com/notes/10159049766711869/.
