Counter Extremism Project Condemns Horrific Execution of Jordanian Pilot Held Hostage by ISIS

The following is a statement from the Counter Extremism Project:

“The Counter Extremism Project condemns the brutal execution of Moaz al-Kasasbeh, a Jordanian pilot and Sunni Muslim held hostage by the Islamic State since December. The vicious nature of his murder reveals a sickening level of barbarism from ISIS that we have not seen before. By executing a fellow Muslim, ISIS demonstrates once again the perversion of the very faith it claims to represent.  Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of Moaz al-Kasasbeh and to the Jordanian people during this unimaginably difficult time.”
